PBS SoCal March 2012 Community Champions
PBS SoCaL (which includes the former KCET) recognizes individuals and/or organizations that make an extraordinary impact on the lives of others through their everyday efforts, within our diverse Southern California communities. The purpose is to recognize ordinary people who care to give of themselves, their talents, their knowledge and passion to impact the world. They will acknowledge your contribution with the production of a 2:00 minute spot that airs for an entire month. The 2:00 minute spot features video from the February 11 Interview for Success workshop. It aired on both the PBS SoCaL channel and the PBS Orange County Channel which is the largest public access channel in California.
The first Community Champion recognized was a philanthropist in Orange County; the next individual was from LA. Congratulations the members of the WLC for their hard work and dedication, which was the first group to be recognized by PBS SoCal, as well as the first in the Inland Empire.
A special ‘Thank you’ to the WLC’s very own Annette Kelly who paved the road that lead to this nomination of the WLC
